1. Who We Are

Cannabis Insurance Quotes ("we," "us," or "our") operates cannabisinsurancequotes.com, a free lead aggregation service that connects cannabis businesses with insurance experts who have access to cannabis-focused markets. We are not a licensed insurance producer, agency, or carrier. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you use our quote-matching form, we collect:

Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
Business details: business name, business type, and state of operation.
Your request: the coverage types you selected and how soon you need coverage.
Your consent: the consent language you agreed to and the time you agreed.

Information collected with your request. When you submit the form, we also record the page you submitted from, the referring website, campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source), and a timestamp.

Information collected by our service providers. Our website host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. We do not set advertising cookies or use advertising pixels. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy first.

3. How We Use Your Information

To match your request with insurance experts who work with cannabis businesses and to pass your request to them.
To contact you about your request.
To keep records of requests and consent, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with law.
To understand which pages and campaigns bring in requests and improve the site.

4. How We Share Your Information

With insurance partners. Sharing your request is the core of our service. When you submit a request and agree to be contacted, we share your contact details, business details, and coverage request with one or more licensed insurance brokers, agents, or carriers in our network who may be able to help. Our partners are independent businesses. Once they receive your information, their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies.

With service providers. We use service providers to host the website, store requests, and send notifications, including Vercel (hosting) and Google (spreadsheets and email). They may use your information only to provide services to us.

For legal reasons. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Business transfers. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Compensation And The Sale Of Information

We may be compensated by our insurance partners when we share a request with them or when a match is made. You do not pay us anything. Under some state privacy laws, sharing personal information with partners for compensation can count as a "sale" of personal information.

Your choice. You can ask us not to sell or share your personal information by emailing atb@barrierrisk.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell Or Share." If you opt out before we act on a request, we will not pass it to partners, which means we cannot match you with one. We also honor browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where the law requires it.

6. Calls, Texts, And Emails

If you agree on our form, we and our insurance partners may contact you by phone, text, or email about your request, including by calls and texts that may use automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email atb@barrierrisk.com. Partners who have already received your request keep their own contact lists, so contact them directly to opt out of their communications as well.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep request and consent records for as long as we need them to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations, including obligations to prove consent to contact. We then delete or de-identify them.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including encrypted connections to our website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we used and shared it.
Get a copy of your personal information.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Appeal our decision on your request.

You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. If we make material changes to how we share personal information, we will say so prominently on this page before the change takes effect.
